Meet the Owners
We’re Bryan and Beckey, and we’re proud to call Fort Collins home.
Our story started in two very different places. Bryan grew up in New Hampshire, while Beckey is originally from Texas. We both eventually found our way to Fort Collins, where we met, built our life together, and discovered just how much we love this community and the beautiful place we get to call home.
For us, life in Northern Colorado is about more than where we work. It’s the trails we hike, the places we explore, the people we meet, and the community we’ve become part of.
We love getting outside whenever we can. Some of our favorite local adventures take us to Horsetooth Mountain, Hewlett Gulch, and the many trails and mountain areas around us. We enjoy biking, traveling, exploring new places, live theater, and pretty much any excuse to spend time in nature. We never get tired of the beautiful sunrises over the mountains or the simple moments that remind us how fortunate we are to live here. We also enjoy the things that make Fort Collins uniquely Fort Collins, from exploring local restaurants and coffee shops to enjoying the city’s incredible craft beer scene. Whether it’s Horse & Dragon (our personal favorite) or New Belgium brewery, spending time with a good beer and good company is one of those simple things we’ve come to really appreciate about living here.
We’re also big animal lovers. Before becoming busy with our business, we volunteered as foster caregivers with the Larimer Humane Society. Beckey has an especially strong history of caring for animals, having previously worked as an animal control officer advocating for their welfare and humane treatment. Our home has always been filled with a lot of love for animals, and probably more than a reasonable number of pet-related “incidents”.
Our professional journeys have taken some interesting turns, too. Bryan spent nine years as a K–8 teacher before moving into healthcare, where he worked in quality assurance, customer service, and training at UCHealth. Beckey, a long-time nurse, is now a practicing nurse practitioner, providing much needed mental health care for our community members in need. Along the way, we’ve both had a few unexpected chapters.
Our vast life experiences have shaped who we are today. We’ve learned the value of hard work, treating people with respect and honesty, and taking pride in everything we do.
That, in part is what led us to bring Fresh Coat Painters to Northern Colorado.
We wanted to build something of our own that would allow us to work with people, become even more involved in our community, and create something we could be proud of together.
Most importantly, we want our customers to feel like they’re working with people who genuinely care about the place they call home. We live here, we love it here, and we understand why your home matters to you.
