Meet The Owner
Wes Schexnider
Wes Schexnider is the proud owner, estimator, and project manager of Fresh Coat Painters of Lafayette. Born and raised in Kaplan, Louisiana, Wes is a proud 1995 graduate of Kaplan High School. Wes is happily married to Patricia Schexnider, the principal at VCA in Maurice. Wes is also the proud father of his son Brant, who shares a love for saddle bronc horses with his dad. In his spare time, Wes enjoys cooking, relaxing on the patio, and pursuing his passion for horsemanship.

Production Crew Lead
Robert Guidry is our Production Crew Lead with an impressive 35 years of painting experience. Born on a military base in Panama and raised in Cajun Country, Robert has lived in various locations from Kaplan to Lafayette. Family is at the heart of everything he does, and he's a proud father of three boys. Outside of painting, Robert has also had a unique career as a professional wrestler, known in the ring as the Mexican Giant.
Derrick Primeaux
Quality Production Leader
Derrick Primeaux is our Quality Production Painter with over 23 years of experience. Derrick was born and raised in Abbeville, Louisiana, He takes pride in his two beloved dogs, Bear and Missy. When he’s not painting, you’ll find him playing pool in the APA League, traveling to various locations to compete and relax with friends.
