Born and raised in Kaplan, Wes Schexnider understands the importance of hard work, keeping your word, and treating people right.
Before launching Fresh Coat Painters of Lafayette in 2019, Wes spent 25 years working in the oil and gas industry. That experience taught him the value of safety, organization, attention to detail, and doing a job correctly the first time.
Wes and his team have built Fresh Coat with one goal: to create a painting company that Acadiana homeowners and businesses could genuinely trust. He believes customers deserve clear communication, professional painters, clean job sites, and results they will be proud to show off.
For Wes, this is not simply a painting business. It is a local company built to serve the community he calls home.

Meet Josh - The Man Behind the Projects
Josh helps keep every Fresh Coat project organized, moving forward, and completed to our high standards.
As Project Manager, he works closely with our customers and crews from the beginning of each project through the final walkthrough. He coordinates schedules, confirms project details, monitors workmanship, and keeps communication clear throughout the entire job.
Josh understands that he is not simply managing a painting project - he is helping care for someone's home or business. His commitment to quality and customer service makes him an important part of the Fresh Coat team.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys playing disc golf and, most importantly, spending quality time with his family.
