My first painted room was when I was 9 years old.
My Dad was a painter, and one day he put a brush in my hand and let me paint a whole room. He didn’t stand over my shoulder. He showed me how to cut a clean line, how to keep a wet edge, and how to step back and check my work honestly. When I finished, he walked the room with me. He pointed out what I did well and what I could have done better. Then he said something I’ve never forgotten;” Your name is on every wall you paint”
That room was the start of everything.

I’M a second-generation painter, and the most important lesson my dad taught me wasn’t technique, it was pride. He believed painting was a real trade that deserves respect. You do the prep work nobody else sees because you know it’s there. You protect a customers home as if we’re your own. You don’t leave until the job is right, not just finished.
