After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa in 2003 with Construction Management and Business degrees, Justin moved to California where he worked as a Project Engineer, Estimator, and Project Manager for Balfour Beatty (one of the largest construction firms in the world). He was involved in a variety of projects, including school renovations, tenant improvements, hotel modernizations, high-rise construction, office building construction, and public works projects. After spending 8 years with Balfour Beatty, plus a 2-year teaching excursion in Japan, Justin started Fresh Coat, Santa Barbara.
The goal has been and will continue to be providing a high level of service and consistent dependable quality inside a construction industry that lacks it. During my time as a Project Manager, and managing subcontractors (and seeing specific pros and cons), the biggest factors to complete these goals were hiring & training dependable individuals, establishing quality protocols and actively managing them, and always maintaining customer communication. This is the foundation on which this business relies and what we strive to do every day.
Over the last 10 years, Fresh Coat Santa Barbara has successfully completed thousands of projects, spanning existing residential, new residential, multi-unit, and commercial construction projects.
